About Me
Vigilant Inspection, LLC was founded in April of 2024. I am the owner and principal inspector at Vigilant Inspection. While Vigilant Inspection is currently in a period of growth and expansion, at some point, I anticipate additional inspectors and/or support staff.

Prior to the launch of Vigilant Inspection, I worked in various R&D organizations in the medical device industry at major companies for nearly 20 years. As a scientist, objectivity is at the core of everything I work on. As an engineer, my eyes are keenly trained to make careful observations, and I use this skill adeptly on your home inspection to make sure that no potential issues go unnoticed.

At Twenty Twenty Therapeutics, I am the Lead, Biocompatible Materials and Processes. I lead multiple workstreams such as smart contact lens process development and biocompatibity testing.
2015-2021
Verily Life Sciences, LLC, South San Francisco, CA
My work at Verily was focused on the development of an accommodating contact lens for the treatment of presbyopia. I helped to integrate electronic microcircuits into contact lenses. Think: cyborg eyes!
2005-2015
Johnson & Johnson Vision, Inc. Jacksonville, FL
J&J Vision is the world leader in contact lens technologies and introduced the world's first disposable contact lens with its ACUVUE brand contact lenses. I worked on various projects in the R&D organization in my time there.
Community Involvement
Scouting America
As an Eagle Scout, serving others is a personality trait that is core to me. I currently serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Counselor in Pleasanton Troop 911 Scouts BSA. I am also currently a Den Leader for Pleasanton Pack 910 Cub Scouts.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace
"No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!"

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a non-profit organization that provides free beds to kids who need one due to their family circumstances. We are active volunteers, building bed components on build days, and providing delivery support to put those beds to good use. Our chapter provides beds to kids in need in Alameda County.
